TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 5:19-25

On last week we dealt with the importance of sanctification in our daily walk with Christ and how we should pray to that end. Now, after expressing his desire for the sanctification of the believers at Thessalonica, Paul offers a prayer for the “preservation” of these saints. He says, “I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” It seems quite clear that Paul desires for those who were converted under his teaching to be found without fault in every aspect of their existence at the time of the Second Coming of Christ.
