TEXT: Isaiah 1:1-20
In our last message, we began looking at what the Lord requires of His people to show that they are serious about repentance. He says, “Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.” These are all actions that Israel must do to demonstrate that her heart is right with the Lord. It is one thing to speak well of such behavior and to profess verbal commitment to such behavior. But, as they say, the proof is in the pudding. The Lord wants to see transformative action in the lives of His people in order for them to be restored.
