— Personal Accountability for Responsibility
An important aspect of responsibility is being personally accountable for our thoughts, words, attitudes, and actions.
These are to be consistent with the commands of Christ, because in the final judgement they will be exposed and evaluated on the basis of genuine love.
First John 2:4–6 said, “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”
Here are some things that we must take responsibility for.
• Responsibility for thoughts. II Corinthians 10:5 says, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
