Our thankful thought for today is this: Peace is a common want throughout the world. We worry and fret because we are focusing on or attempting to do things that were never meant for us to handle. Worry can destroy gratitude in our lives if we let it. But gratitude can also do away with worry if we let it. Gratitude allows us to have a sense of peace not only in our environment but in out hearts and souls which is most important.

Our quote of thanks is from Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He said, “In normal life we hardly realize how much more we receive than we give, and life cannot be rich without such gratitude. It is so easy to overestimate the importance of our own achievements compared with what we owe to the help of others.”

Our Bible verse of thanks is I Thessalonians 5:18. It reads, “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
